thanks again for your answer- how do you change the positions of victory objectives at the beginning of a battle without changing any other settings?- I looked in the G/G but didnt see anything. Thanks

In the "view map" screen, use the edit victory hexes button, just as you would when editing a scenario. It's the same routine.

Use the N and P buttons (or keys) to select the current objective hex, and then click the mouse on the new position hex, as usual.

(The function of each button can be found by hovering the mouse over it, as shown in the information text line.)
