The Goliath is a great addition for the German OOB, however it's extremely slow speed makes it very difficult to play with. Perhaps a transporter such as a Famo would be a good addition in the next upgrade. I know that Goliaths were ferried into action by Bergetigers during the action at Kursk.

I am curious: What would the source for that be? The Bergepanzer VI was only available from August-September (Kursk was over by that time). Before that time the Germans used two or more of the large arty prime mover halftracks when they needed to "manhandle" it.

A stupid idea overall IMO.

It was slow and had a wire tailing.

Just like strapping bombs on german shepards,if they got through, they tended go underneth the panzers!

I could be wrong, I did see a photo of one being hooked up to a crane on the the back deck of Tiger (crane attached to the turret). Now this was some years ago and I could not tell you were to find it. Here is what wikipedia has to say http:////en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bergetiger These vehicle were definitely available during the Kursk time frame. However I am not suggest that one of these be included in the game. Simply create an Sd.Kfz 9 FAMO (based on the current Sd.Kfz 8 already in the OOB) as a tank transport vehicle for recovery and other duties.
