I know I miss that music playing in the background! I had to track these two songs down for a while but I finally found them. This mod replaces the "Battle FX" with the old steel panthers march! I hope you enjoy the songs as much as I did!

NOTE: Due to the data limit of 23.84MB I will have to email this data to you. If anyone knows a way around this I'm all for it.

To install the music download the mod zip.

Then navigate to:
-Shrapnel Games/The Camo Workshop/WinSPWW2/Game Data/Sounds

Next copy the old .WAV files Battlesounds01, Battlesounds02 and paste them into a new folder (name it anything you like. This is just to make sure you can change back to battle FX at any time.)

After that you just paste the new .WAV files Battlesounds01, Battlesounds02 and paste them where the old files were.

Here is a sample of the two songs if you want to see what two songs these are.

You can download these with the "Youtube MP3 converter" which is a free program. Just make sure to download it as a .WAV and not MP3.

Can you upload it to a file sharing service, like mediafire (http://www.mediafire.com/)?

Upload the music here as MP3 or some other compressed format and people can convert it back to WAV themselves. There are plenty of free/shareware programs that can do that, but there is also an online service for that:

I am not associated with them in any way.

And if it is SSI copyright (you will need to contact them or their successors) - then first obtain the requisite written permissions before doing so.

Also - should they agree, then you would want to contact Shrapnel and see if they are willing to host such a huge file. If not, then assuming you get the SSI go-ahead, you will need to put it on a file sharing site of your own and provide a link from here. Bandwidth costs money.

Should the Youtube poster have legal authority - then the link there will do, or at least until a take-down order is issued if not so. (You may want to contact the Youtube poster to enquire as to the legality.)

Fortunately I was able to rip the .wavs off of my orignal SP CD's. Thanks for sharing info on what to do with them!
