is there any point in using flaming arrows vs troops that have fire resistance?
i find myself in a ridiculous situation.

If fire magic is all you have against massed FR troops, I think you're in trouble.
If you've got some other paths to work with, search the spell DB to see what other options you have:

I point to Anointed of Rhuax.
I point to Kicking his ***.
That's all.

Uh, as an actually useful answer: YES! Totally cast Flaming Arrows against Abysia! Not only does it look cooler, it also turns the arrows into MAGIC arrows which get an increased chance to get past shields and the like!

Have you tried touching the Abysians on the penis?

Contrary to popular belief, fire spells are Abysia's secret weakness, and you should focus your defense on casting them. Even if your mages quickly fatigue out it is worth it. I am telling you this only in the interest of the fairest fight possible.

That sounds perfectly reasonable. Would you say I should just stick with Fire Flies to take down Abysia? It'salways been my favorite spell of all time.

Snack Time, i love it! unfortunately, i was refering to a different game(allforone) where i am being railroaded into a war with abysia with no effective counters due to, oh, about 100 early game mistakes. in our game i have some AWESOME counters for YOU!!!

Yes, I am aware of the many counters you have owing from an army three times the size of mine, twice the income in gems and gold, and at least as much magic. I hope you see my cancellation of our NAP for what it was: a simple cry for attention. I don't want to fight. I just want you to notice that I'm here.

well, more like, you are the fifth player to declare war on me. so i guess for me, that's not exactly peace. but i guess it's fun to pig pile. you know i can't really carry through on a war on any of you, so there is no risk for you at all.

I'm actually quite surprised to be called the fifth to declare war on you. You invaded Arco, are you counting them? You then attacked Van, not the other way around (or am i mistaken there?). In any case the only other nation I know you to have been fighting at the time I ended our NAP-4 was Jotunheim. Seeing as you smacked his main army down, it doesn't seem right to call me part of a dog pile.
As I said, merely forcing you to worry about your western "protected" side of the map has value. Neither of us are really positioned to invade each other properly.
Warmly, Abysia

hey, warmly abysia-pun intended?
you are right, you were second. then two others. and i did initiate hostilities with the vans. after im gone, you'll see why.
i was just saying, no peace for me. whether i want it or not.
