Im done. Playing a UW Nation i started in a small lake surrounded by land and could not get momentum at all. When my shapeshanging guys tried to take on heavy Infantry, they did fall like flies. I have turned myself to AI.

This is why water nations are typically a bad idea on maps without fixed starts. If you end up with a capital in a pond you're screwed from the start.

As for Oceania, I'm absolutely not agree that everything was done to survive.
1. Taum 2 spell ride the currents. Good way to get somewhere
2. Capricon mages can travel over the land and are stealthy 10, so moving to the sea through someone's territories is not a big deal. Ichtysatyrs also can do it.
3. We know the map before starting the game - pretender could be designed in a proper way - ieither proper for land conquire or for water thuggung.
4. Even if these options wouldn't exist, there is such thing as diplomacy. You've met at least 4 nations to the moment, and maybe more. And would be even more if you took water first. Dimoplacy is a great thing if you can't build armors and send to naked Chinese troops armed by only screwdrivers.

I really don't like situations when someone givups this way damaging all the current balance. Nad givups on such an early stage wher really nothing even threatens the nation. Just someone will take land and the playr will be delayed in growth. But for the only water nation on the map it's not really a game braker.

The province south of my capital was water, but it had 60 Ichty Warriors in it and didnt offer a strategic advantage compared to the pain so i skipped it. militarist, dont assume i just gave up. I gave up and turned the AI when there was no more choice to make. I could have given all my gems to a friend, THAT would have messed up balance.

Well I will be down to 1 province after this turn, so by Rag-x's example I should not bother with 5 minute turns and go AI.

Once more time I'd like to make an accent on Patala.
Here is another game where this player is playing, and his nation is really recongizable by stalling statitics. I would propose to Torin as game admin to either get some commitment from him or we need to find a replacement while its not too late. The player is currently in several games, and stalls everywhere - somewhere more somewhere less. Disappearing for weeks sometimes without any notifcation.

I won't be signing up for any games with tratorix in the future. One player has just decided to declare WAR on all his neighbors. Likely because he doesn't like the pace we're setting. Delays in the game are understandable. Unfortunatly, holding up the game week after week is poor sportsmanship showing either a lack of respect, or a lack of maturity.

Well. I'm also a neightbour of C'tis. I was fighting him until he went AWOL. I've left C'tis pretty much alone since and i've got no idea what is going on with his other neightbours. I shifted my attention to Utgard but he's staling now as well, so i guess we need to make a decision about this. Both C'tis and Utgard seem to be missing a player. Put on AI or not? Subs have not been easy to get.

There's a small hope that we'll get himselfhb back as he's recently tried to sign up for another game. Perhaps he'll come bach to us?

Yes, there is definately a lot of game left to play here. There is a bad power vacume with the loss of Agartha and C'tis players. It would be unfair (and not fun) for us to gobble them up while some players fight real foes.

So, the game should continue, and people who are done should just go AI.

I seriously doubt I'll want to play another few hundred turns, since with a map this huge and combatants fairly equal(or perhaps I'm underestimating my fellow players :)) it will not be over in a long time.

I doubt I would win against Kailasa in the end. My SCs and armies have performed pretty poorly despite us gaining territories. Whenever I face a Kailasan army, I'm smashed. :)
And I haven't even seen much effort in the armies, few mages and SCs, it's just the basic blessed guys.

Not to mention the astral corruption and the astral nexus. Honestly, I doubt we could beat Kailasa even together. But who knows.

Agon, the Eater of Dreams shows up. Screened by my commander guard of Abominations, I proceeded to blast Agon with 'Control' over and over......

Eventually All the Abominations died, Agon had 31 Magic Resistance, so he wasn't ever controlled. God and Eater of Dreams go round and round seemingly forever......

Agon the Dream horror retreated around turn 40....but left many horror marks upon the foolish godling who summoned it. Next turn....I'm going to get him!

Instead of fighting you, I've turtled 100 Tartarians, Angels and other nasties. My dominion is as strong as yours. I'm....waiting for you to fight. So lets see it. Or...you can try to dominion kill me. Or...You can go AI. This game is far from over.

Wasn't the point that he had done nothing because we decided to play it abnormally? He wanted to test how a huge amount of SCs would work and massed them in one place. Or did I totally misunderstand the reason why we played the last 30 or so turns?

At that point i thought you had stopped playing since you were staling your turns and losing land to Hellheim. You objected and we kept playing. The reason i suggested Hellheim for the win was that he was strongest according to the statistics.

When i attacked you i did it because at that point you were the strongest.

But we can keep playing, no problems with that. :D
