Iron dragons (inanimate) should be immune to this spell right? Or is it a bug? Just had one go poof...

Just because it has no bones? ;)

Nope, the description doesn't say that inanimates aren't harmed by it. Only that ethereal units have resistance to it (the wiki says 75% chance of avoiding a roll). So your boneless dragon is a viable target.

This is what is know:

http://wolfsbane.alwaysdata.net/Spells.html

Special Effects: Magic Resistance Negates, Physical damage, Works underwater

So works on inanimate stuff. (Of course, some inanimate stuff has bones, so little that can be done about it).

I note that this offers "3.27 with CBM 1.84". We have all been on CBM 1.92 for a while now, I believe. Are there many significant changes from CBM to 1.84 to 1.92 which would affect the data, or not (I am hoping for a simple answer rather than being told to go look through all the changelogs, tx.)?

There is also the mod browser momfreek made. Here: https://dom3-mod-inspector.googlecode.com/svn/branches/i-s-u/index.html?mod=CB1.94.dm

Partial Changelog CBM here: http://dom3.servegame.com/wiki/CBM#Changelist

Although CBM changes quite a few things, the total amount of data in dom3 is *huge*. So, for any particular thing, the chances are that it won't have changed.

On the subject of Bone Melter, there was a suggestion on the other forum to change the name to "Melt". I think that might not be a bad idea.

Melt sounds better to me too.

While I have you... I was curious to see Zmeys have a max age of 50. Is that intentional to make them a bit vulnerable to even low level aging spells?

I always figured it was a thematic thing, since fire magic makes things get old at younger ages(candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long type thing) and zmeys are creatures of fire.

Yeah, I think that might indeed have been deliberate. In any case it's not a bug.

Love that quote (Bladerunner via Lao Tzu). Here's one I just saw. (it could be a Zemy bumper sticker)

"Give a man a fire and he's warm for a day, but set fire to him and he's warm for the rest of his life..."
Terry Pratchett
