The M249 SAW was introduced only a couple years before I retired, and I've only heard one fire a handful of times.

Can someone tell me which DEFAULT sound is closest to the correct one?

Been about three years since I fired one, but a longer, slightly faster version of 170 would sound most like a SAW to me.

And if you ever load one with a magazine, it will, usually, sound like the first half of 145.
