does the crystal shield no longer bump you up one level on divine magic in 1.94?

recently had a battle where i had scripted seveal holy level 4 spells for my prophet, who is level 3 and was toting a crystal shield. this used to work, but he immediately went off script. is this a change in 1.94?

Notice how if you click on the "modded" line it tells you that the only changes to Crystal Shield are that it's cheaper.

hmmm. that's cool. but i still can't get my prophet to cast level 4 holy spells. odd

Not sure what you are using as your prophet, but IIRC that method of boosting only works if the priest has another magic path i.e. not only H1+.

so in order to get a boost in holy magic, he would have to have some other magic path? that would make sense, as i have made an ulmish commander my prophet(read: no other magic).

well, that fixes the mystery, but leaves me in a quandry...

i know crystal shield replicates power of the spheres. not sure if that has anything to do with it. personally, i really wish this were not the case. it is really messing me up! but, if you have ever played dominions with me, you know that i am basically a walking, talking mess up. guys let me play not for competition, but more for comic releif. but hey, they do let me play...
