I was wondering what the cost difference is between a vehicle configured with ERA or SLAT armor. It seems that SLAT armor cost as much or more than ERA. I would think ERA would be the more expensive if not double the cost.

Slat armour is anti-HEAT armour in game terms.

If you really want to know, then set up a set of test objects with different armour configurations in one of the R&D OOBs and then run the cost calculator over that OOB.

I already did that in my Mod. I made different versions of my Bradley B-APC with a basic, SLAT and ERA. Consistently, the SLAT version was extremely more expensive. That is where I noticed it and didn't know if I was doing something wrong setting it up or if the calculation was off. I appreciate any advice and help. I just want to understand better so I can improve my mod.

ERA is a set of add-on blocks that may or may not work, and which reduces as HEAT rounds hit it, assuming the target survives. So naturally, its cheaper than anti-HEAT armour that works 100% of the time and is always the same value.

An ERA 'block' in game terms is nothing related to X CM of anti-heat either.

ERA is a supplement to real armour.

Thanks Mobhack. That make sence. I just always assumed ERA was a better more expensive armor package. SLAT just seems soo simple but, like you said it is more effective.

Thanks for the info.

Not only cheaper but also something you can "add-on" to existing vehicles and somewhat improve their HEAT survivability.
