This mod contains highly altered or additional files that may or will cause interference with the master game files and it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that this mod be installed and played ONLY in a separate copy of the game and NOT run from the master game.

Gentlemen -

Here is a modified version of the Mujahideen flags. In the game, they are a simple green crescent on a dark background. I've modified the flag to resemble the jihadist black flag that al-Queda likes to use these days. There is Arabic writing on the top, some more Arabic writing, probably Qu'ranic verses, in a circle in the middle, and a scimitar on the bottom.

I remember everyone wanted one of these or a JAM flag when I was in Baghdad. The MITT team had captured a JAM flag and hung it up in the company building when we got to the rear.. even though it was little more than a white sheet with some scribbling on it, the rest of us were jealous as hell.

Anyway, hope you like the modded flags. They do add a distinct flavor to your counter-terrorism scenarios.

Nice work. I like it a lot and will use it in the next patch.

Thanks

Starting to regret this, given the news of the past months. Don, could I suggest you include the originals with future releases of WinSPMBT, the same as with the German swastika flags?

Matt,

As a 'flag maker', I did wonder about this issue myself, but I came to conclusion that the flag does not glorify the combatants, merely identify them.

With the swastika, an alternative is often offered because it is illegal to use/have a swastika in Germany (and a few other countries) except for scholarly or religious reasons. That is why many games don't use swastikas.

Just my two cents...
