Semi Auto Rifle Sound Effects in Reference to Bunker/Pillbox/Fortified House etc

Why do rifles like a .303, Kar 98K, Mosin-Nagant, etc, have an automatic rifle (or machine gun) sound while firing from a pillbox, bunker, fortified house, etc? Not a big deal, just wondering if this can be fixed.

Because bunkers treat small warhead weapons like that as a co-ax, and have done since SP1 days. Nobody ever noticed this in more than a decade.

However, someone else did notice this recently and that is why it is already on the 'to be investigated' list for this year.
