1. Inf ATGM unit does movement (1,2 hex) ---> shoots rocket points = 0.

2. Inf ATGM unit suppressed enemy fire (MG and etc.) ---> pinned.

3. Rally Inf ATGM unit ---> we have = +1,2 shoot rocket !

That is, after movement Inf ATGM unit and attack by the enemy we again can shoot rockets !

Sometimes I Z fire my own units to get them extra shots.

The Z fire will continue until morale improves, I guess.

A "Heroic Rally" - it has always been there. An old SP "feature" I believe.

Sometimes when a leader rallies very well, the unit has its shots and movement restored. It is however a rather rare occurrence.

I checked several times.
Inf ATGM unit always in this situation (see above) receives new shots.

After all they need time for deploy weapon.

I've been trying to recreate this but for one eason or another I cannot duplicate the exact circumstances. ( moves -> fires -> gets surpressed -> rallies -> gets all shots back )

If you have a test save game that shows this post it please

Never noticed with vehicles but certainly on the odd occasion infantry units recover gaining shots & movement. In ATGM teams case it does indeed allow them on very rare occasions to fire even if they moved.
To me its a good feature catches you out & just abstract it away, firer was in position & you saw the ammo carrier move or whatever floats your boat.

The infantry issue has been "known" for years. As Andy said "it has always been there" but it's NOT predictable.

This ATGM "bug"--- if it can be replicated repeatidly--- is not the same thing at all

In archive Scenario (slot 333) and Save game (2 test: slot 10 and 11).

Begin turn and play movie enemy turn.

It will be visible as Inf ATGM unit "Dragon" movie --> supressed MG-fire enemy "Abrams" --> shoot rocket "Dragon" in tank.
And so twice in both tests.

If after movement Inf ATGM unit no supressed (status: Ready) then not rocket shoot.

But if supressed --> Rally decrease supression --> have rocket shoot.
And so always, if only there are no big losses in crew Inf ATGM unit.

Could it be some kind of "moving, not moving" -bug? If the ATGM moves, it can't shoot. If it is pinned, it's not moving, but can't shoot. Rally -> game thinks it's not moving as it was pinned and it can now shoot again.

This same kind of bug is with SPA: try driving a tracked mortar or similar to rough slope so that it gets stuck. Now it's immobile and it gets to shoot on artillery turn.

Something to look into.
