Is it just me or is the forum now refusing to let us edit our own posts?

I can edit mine, but I always do it a moment after I posted.

I can not edit either. So, I've sent a note to DRG requesting permission to edit my posts.
Here is my subsequent edit to this post: It appears in this forum WinSPMBT I can edit my posts. However, in the Campaigns, Scenarios & Maps forum I can not edit my posts. So, my note to DRG maybe in order as he is a moderator of that forum.

Strange......... I did not get any such note and they are normally forwarded to me.
Remember people this is NOT SPCamos forums........ if you have problems with issues like this contact Shrapnel. However....there may be a time limit for regular members...... IDK becasue I'm a moderator and can't check from your POV. I have passed this on to Shrapnel
If it's any help I have found in the past week or so that my normal habit if just single clicking on "Edit" does not work.... I found I have to double / triple click before anything happens

Here's the answer I recieved back from Shrapnel.....
There is a time limit of 30 minutes for registered users to edit their own posts. After this time limit, only moderators can edit or delete messages.
......AFAIK it's been like that since we started on the forums so *IF* anyone thinks things have changed in the last week or so.... they WERE doing upgrades a week or so back, you may or may not have noticed the response on the forums was slower than usual......then contact Shrapnel Costomer support and let them know what you think is different.

Thanks for investigating this issue of editing posts. Here is what I've experienced today: I opened my first post on the thread in Campaigns forum, Lightening Shield Operation and found an edit button. However, I do not see an edit button on my last post or subsequent posts.
As for the thirty minute time limit, it is not in force on the Campaign forum, since I can edit my initial post, although editing is not enabled on subsequent posts (I created that thread a very long time ago relative to thirty minutes.)

I knew about the 30-minute time limit.
I haven't tried double or triple clicking "Edit".
Thanks!

I just tried my first edit of a post for a few weeks, and can confirm that it just "hung" for a while with the page loading wheel spinning - pressing the edit button twice more with the mouse brought the post up for editing as desired and stopped the page loading graphic. So it also applies if you are a moderator as well.

Ah ! this is normal------ "First posts in threads are are an exception. This exception was made in response to feedback from members arranging multiplayer games so they can easily update game availabilithy and status."

Okay people how it works as far as I know is this.
1) The first post can normally be edited later
2) All other posts have a time limit
Reasoning
1) First thread may need updating such as placing a new version of a scenario in the first thread or at least saying there are later versions available.
2) Other threads no longer are due to a minority editing it in response to a later comment. Now if you rant you have a small window in which to retract it.
Its life I am afraid everybody gets saddled by rules that have to be created for the minority & it came into place something like 5 years ago due to 2 individuals.
Its a sad fact that you never really saw anyone having to fill the role of moderator before that, well apart from one guy who I am sure is seared in Dons brain.
