It's my understanding that a Weapon Class 2 (Secondary Inf Weapon) weapons shoot once each time a unit fires (assuming the unit is not suppressed/damaged).

That being the case I'm curious about the 40mm grenade launchers:
OOB#07/Weapon#027 40mm UGL
OOB#11/Weapon#124 40mm GP-25 GL
OOB#12/Weapon#122 40mm M79 GL
OOB#12/Weapon#123 40mm M203 GL
OOB#44/Weapon#123 40mm HK-69 GL
OOB#44/Weapon#124 40mm HK-79 GL

All are Weapon Class 2 (Secondary Inf Weapon) with Accuracy 1.
Even rifle-grenades have Accuracy of 4 or 5.

So are these (like pistols) militarily useless weapons?

No, and do tell which OOB has the "Accuracy of 4 or 5" rifle grenades ?

I stand corrected, the standard rifle-grenade is Acc=2 (twice what a 40mm GL is).

But in answer to your question about "Accuracy of 4 or 5" rifle grenades:
00B#07/Weapon#022 Acc=5 RGGS (Rifle Grenade General Service)
00B#53/Weapon#225 Acc=4 40mm GewGranate
OOB#66/Weapon#092 Acc=4 Rg m/49

The new M320 grenade launcher for the US army comes with an attached day/night self-leveling sight and hand-held range finder similar to commercial ones used for hunting that the grenadier carries. It slows down the rate of fire but can improve the accuracy if the grenadier is well trained.

Also, the South African MGL-1 (OBAT 52, weapon 124) had something silly for accuracy--it may have been as high as 6 or 8. I'm not sure because I edited mine down to match the rest of the GLs.

Nobody seemed to mention the super accurate M25 25mm GL in the USA OOB
Same range as a sniper rifle but more accurate 40 vs 30 for sniper rifles.

Do tell......... is it more accurate in the GAME than a sniper rifle......or just "on paper" ??

I missed this little gem the first time through. I'm concerned someone might read this and think it's true

2 accuracy IS NOT " twice" as accurate as 1......... it's " a little bit more" accurate than one. The game does not give a 2 accuracy weapon twice the chance of hitting as a 1 accuracy weapon

I assume its an error otherwise its a superb squad carried weapon, those are game stats weapon 82

comparing two different unitclasses is never a good idea as the code handles each differently. However those type units such as the 25mm gl have been reviewed and they are less now

Strangely enough weapon 82 also sounds like an AA gun for some reason

DRG

That's because with that warhead size the game assigns the AA gun sound which is why we added 229 as the weaponsound a few months ago
