Glamour in combat

I have never understood: what precisely is the effect of glamour in combat? If it's the same as Mirror Image, how come I've seen glamour'ed commanders also cast Mirror Image on themselves?

If the answer is http://www.desura.com/games/dominions-4-thrones-of-ascensions/forum/thread/glamour#907270, what is glamour + mirror image ?
