When there are more than one FAO how do you specify which FAO is spotting for a given artillery unit?
And a corollary question: when a FAO is set for an artillery how do you switch it to another FAO?

Whichever spotter you have selected when hitting the bombardment button is spotting for any arty units whose fire you assign (or move) whilst that screen is open.

If you've already assigned a fire mission with one FO you may still adjust fire with another. That would be useful if an alternate FO has LOS to the target and the initial FO doesn't, in which case your fire mission will have greater effect. (You can also use non-arty "O" units for adjustment without much added delay, but for initial assignment FO's are far better than anybody else, except sometimes the AO.)

This is what I thought. I did as described, but when the fire came in the message said there was no LOS even though the FAO who called in the fire did have LOS. Which means that something I did or something which happened between when the artillery was assigned and when the fire took place either changed the spotter or somehow cleared it. Any ideas what it might be?

Hmmm. Maybe I was mistaken. Unless in your case the LOS got obscured before firing with the alternate FO (or he got suppressed), could be the original FO determines LOS. Can't find anything on-site or with Google. Anyway it's no big deal; arty's strong enough as is.

No you were correct the last unit to make an adjustment calls in that fire so it uses there LOS.
