I just tried out the new v9 update (thank you!) for my CD edition and after a quick go I noticed that when scrolling the map, it will pause about every ten hexes. This is not happening in WinSPWW2 which I also just updated.

Also, I have the original SP CDs. Is there anyway I can get the original background music to play on both WinSPMBT and WinSPWW2?

Thanks in advance....

The scroll lag is generally if you are playing in fullscreen as opposed to windowed mode.

as for the back ground music see here (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showthread.php?t=48354). as you have the originals you dont need to find them just replace the "battle fx" as directed.

Thanks Scorpio'. Setting the display to windowed mode did the trick alright.

As for the background music, I was hoping I could just pull the .wav files from the original SP CD and then follow the instructions from the link you provided, but I couldn't find a single .wav file.

Update: Loaded up SPMB CD with Windows Media Player and all the .wavs popped up. I was able to rip them, rename preferred soundtracks, and replace stock ones. Works great.

Now, I wonder if it's possible to add background music to the splash and menu screens.

Great! Glad to hear you sorted it.

Hehe, sorry can't help there - nothing to replace. Play your fav tracks in a media player whilst building your force. :)
