For those that didn't know....

1/ April 8 I had open heart surgery..-----new mechanical aortic valve and a single bypass--this is by itself "ungood" but I WAS getting better. Then........

2/ May 4 I had a "mild" ( ha! ) stroke--this is "doubleplusungood"

So I would GREATLY APPRECIATE IT if people would refrain from sending me detail PM messages with ideas on how to " improve" the games for AT LEAST 2 months while i recover from all this nonsense

THANKS ( this took 20 minutes to type without errors)

Don

First of all, wishing you all the best on your recovery:)

Don't worry any on changes with the already great game.
Imho none are really needed:)

Don, first of all, let me thank you for all the work you have done to keep SP as one of the best tactical games currently available. Although I have only ever lurked in the background, the work you and others have done is above and beyond the call. Now you need to focus on healing and recovering from this awful event. I am sure I speak for everyone here wishing you a full and speedy recovery

As I said in my intro post, thank you for all your hard work on a game that by all rights should have passed into total obscurity if not for your strenuous efforts. If anyone is deserving of a rest from their labors it is you. I will think of you and hope for your swift and total recovery.

Just want to add my get well soon. Don't feel obliged to make any new releases before you are up to it. I am thank-full for the games as they are, and view updates as bonuses.

Halstein.

Thanks everyone.

The effects of the stroke are dissipating but I'm not quite 100% yet ( lets call it 98%). Considering it's only been 10 days since the event I'm optimistic the other 2% will come back as well. Typing is my big indicator. 9 days ago this would have taken 45 minutes to get through without errors and using the left hand was impossible but this was typed with both ( slowly but with both hands)

Sorry to hear about your health issues, but it seems you are moving forward, so best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Not sure if this blood-pressure rising hobby of yours is the best cure, so remember to take care of yourself!

DonRG, you already made huge work.
Let us consider this patch is the very last one from you, that there won't be no more.
If there is any again, that's a super bonus (as you already gave so many bonuses for this game).
If not, we're happy you benefit from less pressure.
