Hi all,
I just started playing the free version and can't wait to get the CD.
I played the old game to death and just happened upon the new game and am thrilled.
One question. Can you still do overruns and how? I think the old hot key was alt-o.
Thanks,
Tom

Overruns? as in tanks squashing infantry?
I don't believe it was ever possible in THIS game

Read the game guides "Develpment History" and you will discover THIS is the original SP mod.......still around and still being developed since 1998
No, we don't handle overruns with alt-o. If you enter a hex with enemy infantry and survive their initial attempt to attack your vehicle that may result in "Tank Panic"
From the GG
Poor morale and/or poor training level infantry, especially those which have no viable or ineffective AT weapons may retreat in 'tank panic' either when attempting to close assault a passing AFV, or when such arrives in the next or same hex. Bigger, heavier armoured AFV tend to cause more consternation that tin-plated open top recce vehicles. Japanese are not greatly subject to tank panic.
a Melee may result when both sides infantry occupy the same hex
When infantry fight in the same hex, melee combat may occur, and some troops such as commandos and paratroops are better at this form of close combat. Sometimes in close quarters combat, troops especially if low morale or experience may be panicked and hence produce less accurate fire than would normally be the case.
Generally tanks joining direct combat with enemy infantry without their own infantry in support did not go well for the tank but in cases where the infantrys AT weapons are poor or non existant you can force them to flee but it's not something you want to count on but if you do get into that situation and they don't run away you can engage in combat to the limit of you shots allowed

Yes, you are thinking of WaW. Ours are different games in a lot of ways.
THIS THREAD (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showthread.php?t=49930) has a player discussion which will help you sort out the differences while starting out
