How are types of battles decided in a two player campaign? We're playing a campaign and have just had four meeting engagements in a row.
This is September, 1939 German/Polish campaign. The first three battle results were Draw, Polish Marginal victory, Polish Marginal victory. The fourth battle hasn't been decided yet.

First 3 battles are meeting engagements, then it becomes random (IIRC).

Do the results of previous battles have any bearing on the choice of type of battle?

No, they do not.

Too bad. Campaigns would make more sense if there was some logical continuity between battles. For example, after a Meeting Engagement, the winner would get an Advance battle. A draw of an Advance battle would give the Advance Player an Assault battle. And so forth.

And if we introduced such a scheme then people would moan about it. war is random - so random suffices.

Are Two Player Campaign's only PBEM, or can you play them hot seat too? How about WinSPMBT?

No official "hotseat" option exists - just play a PBEM campaign on one machine and hotseat it (no need to send the files)

Although never tried before.
Why not utilize a messenger service?
Such as yahoo Msn ect..i would think that would work since you should be able to pass files back and forth and get a tone and notice immediatly when received.
