I was wondering if anyone has hidden in their archives a copy of a program KobHack. It's an editor for the KOB files in SPIII
I am not sure if a very early version of Mobhack would work, but I don’t have one so I cant tell.
I pulled out Steel Panthers III – Brigade Command and gave it a run under DOSBox. Definitely a different game play vs WW2 and MBT.
The OoB files are a mess, in that the various formations are unrealistic. So I thought I might play around with them and see what I get as an end result.

Looks like I redo one of my OOB editors.
There is a field on the KOB files called "SYMBOL"., It is an unsigned char and occurs as a block of 250bytes straight after the unit name block.
In some units the value of "SYMBOL" matches the icon number in others its different.
I was trying to work out what this field, "SYMBOL" actually did.
The game came with a really basic editor called EDITMBT.
I have the source code for an OOB editor that will read in a KOB file and save it as a CSV, read the CSV and save it as a KOB, but as its based on SPWAW/SPWW2/SPMBT there are a few changes I have to make, which I did not want to do.. Being lazy here.
If you can give me some idea what that SYMBOL block really means would help.
Thanks

Found these in/on an ISO copy of SPIII.
Thought you may want to just have a copy for history.
MobHack has come a long way since this version.

MS strikes again..........KOBHACK will run for me in w10 but the old MOBHack won't. I'll have to fire up the XP machine for that.
