The manual says that the MAP/Preference button in the repair and upgrade screen at the end of a campaign battle can be used to change the map size. Can it also be used to turn the AI Tank Heavy option OFF (I apparently put it ON by mistake long ago)? Just noticed this AFTER clicking Continue  as I'm new at generated campaigns.

Edit: I also put both sides' point value at 6000. Does this mean the AI will always get 6000 points regardless of battle type? If so, can I change this as well at the end of the next battle?

Thanks and Happy New Year SP fans!

You can change any preference that is on the screen. So yes, if you changed the AI tank heavy here it will stick.

As long as the game is not a secure PBEM, then just changing the preferences screen from the main game menu will do the trick. It's only checked by the AI when buying the force for the battle.

I believe "Tank Heavy" is on by default.

Much obliged for the quick and informative replies folks. Carry on!

@Suhir: The manual shows a picture of the Preference Screen with AI Tank Heavy, ID Tags, and Hex-Grid turned OFF; everything else is ON. So I assume that's default for all three, although I could be wrong. Cheers!

That may well be what the manual says but I very distinctly remember turning it off because I tend to prefer infantry/combined-arms battles over tank fests.
