Should AGL's me made to auto cannon class?
I imagine AGL's could shoot at low flying helicopters.
Could you imagine helicopters hit by 40mm bombs?

How about RPG's too?
These were used anti-helicopter in Somalia.

Get me examples of them being used against Helos and then **maybe** we'll discuss it further

I'd think the projectile velocity of AGLs would make them hitting a helo more then a bit iffy.
I'd have to test, but like infantry small arms I think you can shoot RPGs at stationary helos now. The chance of hitting a moving one would be effectively nil however.

AGL go off when they hit the ground - not a timed fuse, so useless vs helos
RPG against helos are fired to take the auto-destruct of that round into account.
Neither will be anti-helo weapons in the game, other than against a landed one (I thing those are targeted as vehicles, but I dont leave them there for long!)

According to this, helos can be brought down by RPG.

And during WW II a pilot once shot down a Zero with a .45 while parachuting from his own aircraft.
Yes ... stuff can happen ... very unusual stuff sometimes. But probable is not the same as possible.

Not looked at the video but both would be hopless against helos, yes one got shot down while hovering but the chances are so remote it should not be modeled it would just cause wasted shots.
The game model covers the variety of outcomes pretty well but not the extremes like a meteorite or bird strike

An un-armored helicopter hit by 40mm bombs would be spectacular.

Only if they were HEDP rounds, normal HE rounds would just explode against the skin if by chance one actually physically hit. And chances are 1 or 2 wouldn't do enough damage to bring a helo down as they're just miniature hand grenades and unlike Hollywood you don't blow up buildings with hand grenades.
An HEDP round would do it's shaped charge thing and penetrate into the internal machinery/electronics thus might hit something vital.

The Russian AGS-30 has a muzzle velocity in the neighbourhood of 600 FPS which is 1/3 slower than that .45. The Mk 19 is only marginally faster Yes it's " possible " but very very unlikely under "normal" circumstances"

A tiger 2 was killed in Normandy by a 2 inch mortar down the commanders hatch and its companion retreated at speed away. Though it may have exploded an ammo truck that was alongside at the time - its not clear exactly what, but 1 dead tiger 2 was the end result.
That does not meant that the 2in mortar will be getting any AT capabilities in the game other than what normally exists. If there was an ammo truck explosion - covered by game mechanics, or in the game one may get a track hit immobilisation which can make the crew bail if bad morale.
Flukes happen, but use of RPG or AGL in the game will only be on landed helos. Most RPG hits on helos seem to be prepared ambushes where the insurgents place themselves precisely far enough away from the spot its going to hover/land etc that the RPG self-destruct will cause an airburst, and with a lot of luck and/or a salvo of rounds simultaneously loosed off, they sometimes get lucky. But RPG or AGL wont be "AA" weapons in the game.
