HI: Wondering if anyone with the CD version could post a couple of high res images, say from the tutorial scenario. Trying to get an idea of how much of the map I would be able to see onscreen with those settings.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks. That should help me. In the free version, at normal view, I am only seeing 14 hexes wide. Would be really nice to see more like in your shot.

Don't know if it is the map you are using but it seems easier to see the contours also?

Everything is much crisper especially if you zoom out, CD version view zoomed out 2 levels more than the free version is still clearer than the free version.
Free version is a demo, a particulary generous one compared to most games but still a demo. I would say you can play the game about 1/3 faster with the CD mainly because of the clarity but also due to a few CD only features making it far easier to keep track of your formations.
I bought one game ordered the second within 2 weeks because I could no longer face playing it as I realised just what a chore it was once I had the CD version of the other.

The printed manual in the boxed CD game is not the full Game Guide - its just a get-you-started primer.

The Game Guide is a large HTML document and is updated on each release. It's the full game manual.
