What fighter is this? I found it digging through some of the older files I salvaged from older files I had.

Well knowing WHERE you found it would be helpful ( which SHP file ). I do not recognize it and it looks like it was created by reducing a top view drawing down which never really works well. It may be something somebody built and posted on the mods forum

The folder was called SHPs from SP Games the date was 2000. Like I said I was digging through old stuff and found it.

OK. I don't recognize the silhouette so I cannot say what it is or which nation the markings on the wings represent.

I will get the SHP file number once back at my home computer. I am a bit confused by your comment on the top view line drawing not working.

It refers to finding a top view line drawing of a vehicle or aircraft then reducing it in size to make it fit approx game scale and it just doesn't work

It looks like a weird version of Grippen without canards. If it is a modded version of the game, it could be anything up to and including a prototype or a fictional aircraft.

Given the markings I was thinking similar..maybe a sci-fi mod ?

So if I was to take the topdown view of the F-18 like fighter and make it into a BMP and then down size it won't turn out as needed?

It will turn out like the one in that file... not very crisp and a little fuzzy around the edges and little to no detail

That SHP is from WaW and why that game would have that Icon with those markings is a mystery I'm not the least bit interested in solving

It looks like something from SP3 with Czech markings. What, I don't know. I haven't played SP3 in many years.

This is Icon0004.shp from SP3.... there is nothing even close to that Icon there and the markings are nothing like the ones the Czechs used
