November 2, 2023 mini game update SPMBT V17.5a
This is a new Mid release WinSPMBT EXE that will show WinSPMBT v17.5a when it is loaded
This one has the terrain junk fix that the last one did but this also corrects the vanishing Multi Hex building issue that has plagued the game for decades
The first EXE we issued has been removed to avoid confusion
If you DL'd the terrain junk fix and want the multi-building fix as well DL and extract this to your main game folder

No, we will simply abandon all this work that we have spent all this time on, and go off and do something completely different instead....
Duh! - of course it will be part of the next release, that should be blindingly obvious.
Good grief!

Do you SERIOUSLY think we would leave this out of the next update ??
SERIOUSLY!
SERIOUSLY?
We are posting this now as a courtesy. because people have been complaining about this for years and we fixed it
so you "assume" correctly..... that ignores the fact the question should never been considered. HOW exactly would it work if we released updated things the way you questioned us about ??

If anyone wants to test that this works the simplest way is to build a plain map using one of the large rectangular factory buildings then hammer the upper left hex it sits in with heavy arty.
Only the structures that had a physical part of the building in that upper left hex it occupied did the disappearance trick. It will probably vary depending on computer speed and what else you might be doing but I have found sometimes you cannot see it happen ( wink out then back in again ....) even when looking closely but sometimes it does a slow 1/2 second blink
But, it will come back which is the important part

My computer broke down a few years ago, and most new computers don't have CD drives anymore, or at least their becoming more and more rare all the time, which is a good thing as they have moving parts and usually breakdown before the computer does. Looking forward to re-purchasing and downloading the newest version of the game.

External USB plug-in CD/DVD players are very inexpensive.. $20-$40 USD range

Ya, that's probably the way I'll do it. Anyway the CD drive probably causes the most heat of any of the computer components. It would probably be best to get an external CD drive. Thanks!
