Regarding Shermans in WinSPWW2, obviously these kinds of minor details wouldn't really show up. One interesting idea I had a while back for the game was the inclusion of common late war (45) modifications in use in Western Europe, such as:
- improvised concrete armor
- improvised sandbag armor
- improvised armor (captured German armor plates welded on)
- coaxial MG replaced with mostly useless AA .50 cal

Would be similar to the T34-85 "Berlin" that is ingame.

Let me put it this way....... I have ZERO interest in adding them into the OOB's (even less than "fixing" the "error" with the Russian aircraft having red stars some bright spark reminds us is "wrong" every decade or so ! ) but it is something someone building a scenario could incorporate. The tools to change armour values as been in the game for a long time.

This kind of " you did it in OOB X then you should do it in OOB Y" was old 20 years ago when I first started hearing it. We do something "special" then that becomes the wedge in the door

I think you sometimes confuse suggestions ("You could do this and it would be cool") with orders ("You should do this because of reason X").

That is correct in many of my scenarios I have added "custom" sandbags, logs, and side skirts to tanks. Also, you can wound a tank, :D and cross attach units to make custom OOBs without even leaving the scenario editior.

Yeah, I know, I tend to heavily edit units in my stuff as well.
