Hi there.

Is it possible to convert a scenario from SPWAW to WinSPWW2 ?
For there are many scenarios in SPWAW which are not in WinSPWW2 as those on the Indochine War! Yes, I confess:doh:: I'm a French player :).

Thanks for help.

Only by doing it the hard way. There is no conversion utility. The OOB is set up differently, as are the game engines.

The games are entirely different with the only commonality being "Steel Panthers" based

If you want an Indochina scenario after 1946 build it with SPMBT as the time frame for that conflict was December 1946 until 21 July 1954 so this is the wrong forum to post this as SPWW2 only covers the first month

Also the maps are entirely different formats, with ours having more terrain types than the original SP series games, 15(+0) elevation levels rather than the original 3(+0), plus our maps can be much larger etcetera.

So yes, manual conversion is the only way to do it.

And as this post is about scenarios, I'll move the post to the scenarios sub-forum as well.

I apologize to post my issue in the wrong forum.

Thanks a lot for your answers.
I never built a scenario on my own. Perhaps it will be the first :typing:

If you have never built one, try a simple hypothetical to start. If you have never used the map editor the advanced one that is activated with the purchase of the extended edition is very powerful and allows you to cut sections from an existing map and paste them into a new one.

Experiment with a smaller existing scenario

Hi. I've been meaning to do this as well to 'port' all those fine scenarios found in the SPWAW community, but AFAIK the only way to do it is thru "Eyeball 1.0", the same way I did convert stock and custom scenarios for SP1 and still plan to do more as well in the future. :typing::fire:
