Does buying CD version of the game allow you to download it right away?
 

Hello all,

New to this forum and to Shrapnel games. I am considering buying winSPMBT. If I am buying the game on the official Shrapnel game e-Store, and selects the Windows Safe Box version, will I be able to download the game immediately while waiting for the CD box shipment?

You buy the digital download version of the full (CD) game for that.

Many folk prefer the electronic download over buying the boxed CD since that involves postal charges, and some countries Customs officers slap import taxes on the shipment. Plus its ready to install right now rather than waiting a week or more for the postman.

(Edited as I had thought you were talking about the digital download - not the Windows Safe Box edition:doh:)

Honestly, I do not know for certain if you buy the safe box you get to DL it right away or not ..... I'm awaiting a reply from Shrapnel but it might take a day to get a reply

Yes - this forum is for SP Camo to do game support.

Shrapnel is not us, they are our publisher. They sell the games for us, host these forums etc. We at SPCamo dont really know anything about the details of that stuff, so if you have a query on purchasing then you really should contact Shrapnel Customer Support via their email contact address. (In the Main Menu box on the top left of these forums).

Shrapnel replied...."No. We consider the download and physical versions as separate games."

So no you cannot order the CD Safebox and then DL the game
