Looking for the Supersized Planets mod...?
 

Hello all! New member, taking a shot at modding this game. I've braved a custom colored ship, and I'm ready to try something new.

My first and biggest complaint with Star Fury is the size of the planets. The first time I played I actually crashed right into one because I thought it was still far away... planets in this game are tiny!

Anyway, I tried downloading the mod from the Sticky, and the host site is either having problems or simply no longer exists. Does anyone know where else I might find the Supersized Planets mod?

Ah, thanks!

BTW, I tried the Supersize mod, and looks like my system is going to bog down like others have. My hardware is pretty good, so I'm guessing it must have something to do with the way the information is processed. Oh well, back to normal I guess!

I REALLY want to make my own ship. Gotta go figure out how that 3D modeling stuff works..... :p

There was a definite performance hit for making the system and planets 100x bigger, so I did a tradeoff and made the system/planets 10x bigger and the ships and camera 10x smaller.

There's a bit of reduction from the extra pathfinding, but it didn't seem like much when I ran it...


You could try using just the shrunken ships & camera and leave the stock systems. The planets won't be as big, but they'll still look a lot bigger.
