Star Types/Resources and Research

All types of stars should be included (there's alot of them)

Most star system are binary or multiple systems, not single,

Resources should be different everywhere.

All types of mining should be included.

Ores,minerals,gases,liquids.

Players should have to produce everything they use,and even create products from raw materials.

Theres should be incredible amounts of research to do in order to unlock the various technologies involved.

Secret technologies should also be availible if a player finds them. Perhaps by doing certain types of scans.

Everything and anything should be availible to wage stellar war with. (Technologies)

The ability to use intelligence services to spy or sabotage.

Many different races, twice as many as star trek.

Re: Star Types/Resources and Research

What about a research system that has requirements ,like

actaully having possesion of various materials, not just researching certain things.

research can be sold, traded or stolen by intelligence agents.

maybe some technologies would require two races to manufacture it,working together?

it should be possible to build bases, stations in lots of locations, including underground.

Turn an asteriod into a base,or change its trajectory, and send it like a projectile toward a target. lots of options.

The final frontier.

A slow moving game can lose the players attention. Many times as in RL, science can be years ahead of actual technology. Making "Ideas" become "reality" takes time, not researching them.

Pretty much all of this has been discussed elsewhere, and in more detail.
