Has anyone tried the iOS port?

I was just wondering if it supports mods and such. (I'd assume so.)
I'd like to get this ported to Android, and since I've heard good things performance wise with the port. There are certain programs take take quite a bit of tediousness out of the process from iOS to Android.

I didn't read anything about an iOS port and I can't find anything in the App Store. Was the port official?

Well, I don't/won't own anything Apple-made, so I can't check, BUUUUT:

I typed in, "Weird Worlds app store" and the first result on Google was the following link. You're Google-fu is weak my child.

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/weird...410004189?mt=8

Also, I'm pretty much the only one who posts on the ModDB.com page for Weird Worlds, but I posted the video a while ago.

My Google-fu is fine. I didn't use Google to search for it, I used the search function in the App Store and looked at the Weird Worlds page (http://www.shrapnelgames.com/Digital...W/WW_page.html).

I searched on "Weird Worlds" on the App Store on my iPhone and it didn't find it. From the link you posted it's iPad-only, which explains why it didn't show up on the App Store search on the iPhone (which only returns apps that can run on the iPhone).

It would be nice if it would run on the iPhone, but I imagine they decided the iPhone screen was too small.

I don't know why it wouldn't be listed on the product page.

I also don't know why they didn't announce it here since there's a thread on an iPhone port.

How to run iPad apps on iPhone.

Digital Eel has it on their page since they make the game and sent the source code to Astraware.

I don't see why Shrapnel Game would have anything to do with an app that is for the iPad, I assumed Apple was very aggressive on that front.

S.G.'s strictly the retailer for Weird Worlds on PCs, correct?

Re: Has anyone tried the iOS port?

I don't think I'll risk $5 right now to find out it's one that won't work right on the iPhone.

Shrapnel Games sells the PC and Mac versions. I know Digital Eel was the developer but I had the impression Shrapnel Games owned the marketing rights.

But back to your original post, it would be nice to see a version for Android.

Also, one of the reviews had the comment "But PLEASE add MODS!!" so it might not have the ability to add mods.

wait, so there's an iOS version for iPad, but no Intel Binary for Mac OS X Lion? This is one of my favorite games and i have to give it up forever once i move to Lion. Lovely. It was already bad enough that the performance was poor under Rosetta... now it's just dead.

bought it for my ipad and liked it. It's a bit fiddly with everything so small on screen, and it seems to run a bit slow. oh, and they removed the lights from all the ships. My ipad's jailbroken, so i've been trying to add my mod. it'll be super hard to do though as they changed a number of images to different formats, for memory reasons i assume as i've encountered crashes even with adding a few things.
