No Two Player?
 

Let's see if I'm reading the description correctly. It says that Salvo is a single player game. So...I understand from another thread that there is no PBEM capability, but that answer really didn't clarify whether it's just the email functionality that's not built into the game or the fact that two people can't play it because there is no two playerr mode (which sort of moots the whole PBEM question, it seems to me).

Forgive my directness (and/or ignorance) in asking the following question: Can two human players play ("hotseat" or otherwise) the game against each other?

The direct answer for your question is: No.

This first release of Salvo is going to be a minimal game, with a single human player playing against the Computer. I am well aware of the seriousness of this deficiency, and have definite plans to correct it, but that will be after the existing game is hammered on and any weaknesses in the game play or interface are flushed out.

I do wish that I had a better answer.
