Log In Question

What's that eye I see where you log in? Makes me feel like I'm being spied upon, or worse, my secret password isn't secret.

Re: Log In Question

I just logged out then back in. I have NO IDEA what " eye " you are referring to as there is none on the screen I used and if I have to log in for any reason I use the same procedure as anyone else

Re: Log In Question

Screenshot can confirm no eye, only thought is your browser or antivirus is putting up to warn you its not secure as in dont put your credit card details on this page.
Cant see a virus telling you its looking :)

Re: Log In Question

If it is a flaming eye it is Sauron. He is looking for his ring.

Re: Log In Question

I figured Sauron had something to do with it too, until I noticed it wasn't a flaming eye. Don't even know if it's an eye. Looks like an eye though, big dot in the middle and a curved brow over it.

Re: Log In Question

I discovered that the Login box is empty as usual, but after I enter the first letter of my password the "eye" appears. I can still Login, as the "eye" is on the far right of the password box, but still it makes me wonder what's going on.

I'll assume that you mean logging onto these forums?

It sounds as if you have a browser that does some sort of checking, or an add-on security product (like an AV solution, or a firefox extension).

Only you will know what browser, browser extensions, or AV tools you have installed. Whatever these symbols mean to your third-party software then, it's up to you to read their documentation to see if its some sort of "warning" or it's "normal".
