Patch 1.5 released!
 

The 1.5 patch for Coliseum has been released! Go here to view what it does and download it:

It installs over the CD retail Version of the game, and saved games are lost when you install the patch, as they are no longer compatible with the new Version due to many data changes.

All that I have to say about the patch is what one of my warriors says when I make him the primary warrior...YEAH!!...

Woohoo!!! Downloading now. Guess I will postpone another game of Dominions.

Editting now. Tried right clicking on the offered enchantments and two out of three tries have booted me to desktop, losing saved game. Too used to right-clicking other games for help info. Thought it may say something more specifically about the possible negative effects. Run-time error 9: Subscript out of range.

Try the test patch in the thread titled: "Derek please look..Possible bug..."

I found and corrected a bug that would pop up an "error 9" if an enchantment were purchased without a primary warrior being selected first. This test patch should fix the problem (and also a problem with the stat-increasing enchantments adding the amount to the stats every turn).

Another issue with the original 1.5 patch. I was completing an unsuccessful season. After the 40th match, the game just dropped to desktop with the run-time error 9 message again. Did not click on anything incorrectly. No potions or enchantments were in effect. Only thing out of normal was a two man roster.

The odds for betting need a little work. Toward the end of the season, it was very hard to make any money. One match, for example, had corresponding bets of 0.2 to 1 and 1 to 1. Shouldn't the 1 to 1 side have better odds more like 4 to 1? With all that money going to the favorite, the underdog should have rewarded bettors better than 1 to 1. Come to think of it, I rarely saw odds of 2 to 1 or higher.

One enchantment I loved. Your warrior gained +1 to every stat permanently if he lost his match. Lasted twelve days and cost around 335 gold. My fighters earned seven losses over that time and some much improved stats. Best enchantment I have seen yet.

I just reloaded this game onto my new laptop, but I want to get the latest patches for this game. This website no longer carries it, apparently, and when I tried the STormcloud website, they have the game, but no mention of any patches. Does anyone know where I can find one?
