Any future plans?

Well, it's just what thread title talks about. What are (if any) future plans for AI? Patch? Add-on? AI2? Or spaceflight anabiosis? Or even eternal cryodeath?

Re: Any future plans?

There are always more features to add.

I have plans (read "background story") for AI2 and AI3, and there was even an AI1.5 TTBS game in the works for a while. (XCOM+AI) :D

But financials are very much in question (read "Extremely Bleak").
And as a grown man with a wife, a mortgage, 2 kids, and a night job, "financials" are very important.

Approaching Infinity needs to reach a wider audience.

I know that many of you have tried to introduce it to your friends, usually without success. Price is the biggest barrier, but it is certainly not the only one.

I greatly appreciate all the AI Players. I love this game, and you love it, so , I don't know exactly what kind of relationship that is, but it's nice :)

There will almost certainly be another update to AI, but I can't say at this point when or what it will be.

Thanks,
Bob

Well, Srapnel is a nice (I have nothing negative to say about Shrapnel) company but small compared to, say, Matrix/Slitherine. The number of potential buyers is much fewer imo. And what about Steam? Really, if you want to get more customers, you need to sell the game for a max of $25 ($20 would be better) and expand your marketing in a way you will reach a much wider audience.

so before i miss a chance to post an upgrade request like the last one - would you consider upping the limit of devices (and maybe other item limits) by one more digit (ie. 999 instead of just 99) (please look at my full question in modding section)

AI Tactics - sounds good (with some bloody gore hand drawn animations like fallout tactics ? :)

just to second and get rich (or at least less poor) more numbers for less price (especially for digital "goods" with very small variable costs) could lead to a higher absolute profits - try to crunch the numbers in a spreadsheet.

Good luck!

Re: Any future plans?

I agree. Get this on steam for $25, and then get it down to 20/15 suring the next sale and you will sell many many copies.

Not sure your agreement with shrapnel allows that of course, but the revenue potential for this game at a lower pricepoint with much wider distribution is definitely there.
