WinSPMBT on Windows 10
 

Hello,

Just a little question about Windows 10 and WinSPMBT. Can I run the game in tactile mode on a Windows 10 tablet ? Maybe a mouse is necessary to play the game or just a finger on the screen.

I honestly don't know if anyone has tried to run it that way....let us know how it works out

I've tried on a Surface tablet but it frustrates me too much. That's using the Surface or my finger. The keyboard/mouse combination is much less work, IMHO.
Also beware of changing the orientation. Half the screen disappears and doesn't return without a restart.
Good luck, maybe you'll figure out a better way!

I find my laptop with its swish-plate to be totally useless other than very basic web browsing unless a mouse is hooked up. Always selecting things by mistake if the heel of the hand hits it. So a travel USB mouse is de rigeur.

The old IBM/Lenovo I had a decade or so back had a little red "nipple" joystick type thingy instead that was far more satisfactory. But even then, a mouse won out - so much simpler to select a block of text with one if editing.

But unless there is a way to stop the screen re-orienting when you turn it, that might prove a killer. The graphics engine (which is third-party so cannot be changed by us) takes one measurement of the screen as found at boot up, and that is the one it wants to stick with!. It'll also likely barf if someone tries dragging it from one monitor to another on a multi-monitor system if the resolutions differ, too.

I think it's not a good idea. I'll keep my actual laptop to play with my WinSPMBT. It is on all my PC since thé first DOS version of the game when I was student in the 90s... but not on a tablet...

Again hitting this for the same reason as the last. This is the time of year the software guys "push" the product and game wise the direction of this thread is different from the last two.
