TFW - missing units and weapons ranges
 
I am playing the Operation Rosario scenario. Shouldn't be able to see 1st PLT/C/25th INF REG and the elements of 2nd Marine?
They show up in the hierarchy tree, but not on the map?

The weapons list states that the L4A4 LMG has a range of 8000 m; and that the L32A1 silenced SMG one of 1500 m?
The L7A2 GP SF is listed with a range of 1800 m versus the FN MAG SF's 800 m?

Shorty,

The units in question arrive later in the game. Reinforcements in the game arrive beginning at about 7 hours and 20 minutes and beyond.

I will keep checking on the weapons.

I thought it might be so, just could not find an explanation for the blue arrow in the hierarchy tree.

Will carry on and await the reinforcements.

Thanks for the catch on the ranges for the L4A4 and the L32A1. I have fixed them. I will need to check all of the other weapon ranges to make sure nothing else slipped through. Once thats done I will ask Pat to release the new data base.

I think Pat has explained that although you can see all the units in the Hierachy tree they do not become available until later in the scenario. The three units, Boats Buzo Tactico, 4/1 Amphib Cdo Co and TG South SAG are available at the start and show in the hierachy tree with padlocks. This is because they cannot be redeployed by the player before the scenario starts.

Thanks for buying TFW 82 and I hope you enjoy using it.

The Falklands War has always had my interest - so I do enjoy it!

I was going to ask if you knew where to find "Tumbledown", but I just found out it is available on DVD at amazon.co.uk - Christmas has come early this year http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif

Gary, I have two more issues:

- I cannot open UK fire team a/tk in the info list?

- Several ships have listed indirect fire 4.5 inch, without having such a weapon?

Shorty,

That second one, I think, is that this ship has an indirect fire capability. It won't show up in a weapons list (this shows just direct fire weapons). To target these units, use the fire mission function just as with artilery or mortars.

Gary,

Just remove the slash ( / ) from the name of the unit and it will fix the problem with the fire team.

I can see now that all the mortar and artillery units do not have the indirect fire weapons listed.
