request: information about Gewehrgranate (German OOB #93)

Hello,

it has been discussed in some threads before (e.g. here: http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showthread.php?t=49627), but can someone come up with reliable information about the german Gewehrgranate (weapon #93). And I`m not speaking of the Schießbecher (Gewehrgranatgerät) , which uses weapon 94, 95, 188 and 192 and was in use from 1942 onwards.

Weapon #93 is used by 33 german units (and incorporated in the game for code issues as Don says in #4). I always wanted to delete this weapon from my OOB, just because I`ve never heard of it before and was only aware of the Schießbecher.

Some time ago, I stumbled across this site:http://www.wehrtechnikmuseum.de/Verl...rgranaten.html which suggest that Gewehrgrananten have been in use since WW1.
Has anyone some data or information about their usage in WW2 before the Schießbecher was invented?

Cheers

Mario

Mario,

I took a quick look at my primary documents, and have attached three documents (one zip file) that may have the information you seek.

I have tons of these documents, so let me know if you need something more.

Nope...can't uploading files gets hung...the zip was only 18MB.
Anyone know what the problem is?
I'll try again another time.

Cheers,
Cross

Trying again with Edge instead of Firefox...

That worked.

Re: request: information about Gewehrgranate (German OOB #93)

Thanks a lot Cross.

Interesting, that most of the information is about the Schiessbecher though. So it`s predecessor (the Gewehrgranate) was not commonly used, I guess, since I`ve really never ever heard about it before.

But maybe you have some information about it`s usage.

Anyway, to each German infantry platoon was attached a 5cm granade launcher section, so maybe there was no need to use the Gewehrgranate?

Cheers

Mario
