Actually, it depends on how close you are to throwing in the towel. If you were about to go AI anyway, then I'd be more than happy to have you sub for me. If you're going to hang in there, then I'll keep looking.

I'd prefer not to go AI until I'm down to just 1 or maybe 2 provinces. As much as I wouldn't mind going AI now I don't particularly like it when people go AI after losing "key" provinces. I've seen the AI stay around for 10+ turns after the player went AI, and still be a pain. Just feels like "giving up too quickly" to me. I see going AI as a last resort, but that's just me. Now going AI because of real life stuff is okay, if a sub can't be found.

Also there are already 2 races at AI, a 3rd would be a bit much.
