The joke thread

This is a attempt to start a in game joke thread. I have thought about what to allow or not. This is my conclusion, jokes about the game, or races are ok. Till convinced otherwise this will be my decision... Thanks for your cooperation. Have fun and be funny... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif
Iv'e changed my posts to reflect this, I ask the other posters to change or delete theirs...

Hmm. A joke thread with no jokes. Seems like a joke to me.

----------- A FAIRY TALE -----------

One day, a long time ago there was a Dominions player who wasn't nerdy or obsessive.

But it was a very very long time ago.
And it was only for that one day!

how does every joke about *insert minority of choice here* start out?

*swing head, look both ways*

my fave racist joke.
since in sociology we love to talk about racism without racists, i'm going to be a racist without racism.

I'm just interested in seeing how many pages this can go without having a single joke in it.

Thoughts?

I'm waiting for palindromes. Those things are nearly impossible to compute for non native speakers. Unfortunately and unobviously, the only one I know is in latin... ^^

[... and is not a joke http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/smirk.gif]

Re: The joke thread

Too many OTs in a game forum can get out of hand. There is a forum here for such things.
http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/thr...&Board=bar

But semi-OTs are ok. We can make it a Dominions thread. When I was in the military we continually got lectured about improper jokes. What we discovered was that many of the jokes that were just too funny to keep quiet, could often be turned into military jokes.
Polish jokes and Blonde jokes made good Lieutenant jokes.
"How many does it take" jokes made good airman jokes.
Overbearing boss jokes made good Master Sergeant jokes.
God jokes made good General jokes.
And "a xxxxx, a xxxxx, and a xxxxxx walk into a bar" could just be turned into various ranks and still work.

I used the same thinking in later years for DnD jokes, SCA jokes, etc.
Be creative people. We have 71(?) unique nations to use. And try not to slip in modern-times stuff.

(cannibal joke, recycled to DnD Orc joke that made a killing at convention, now a Dominions joke)
Two Mictlan Priests were having lunch together.
1st Priest: Your wife makes good soup.
2nd Priest: Yeah, but Im gonna miss her.

Or

Two Jotuns walk into a bar. You would think the second one would have ducked.

or
We all know that deep down the Agarthians are really good people.
Thats why we prefer that they stay deep down. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
