Important patch suggestion
 

IT 2 does have ways to buy new ships. However, they are for the most part just a bit better than the original ships that we purchase. Once a few turns of upgrades go on, the ships that are offered become obsolete.

Can you make the ships offered to be much better than what is currently available? Of course, the price would be appropriately higher. Also, allow for trade ins for our old ships. Ideally, it would be better than the currect Version of our present ship. Please consider this.

Your suggestion has been duly considered. Bear in mind for now that like a car dealership, sometimes you see a lemon, and sometimes you see a Mercedes. Some of the ships have special unique abilities as well (like gaining money randomly or additional combat damage), in rare cases, and some have very high stats, like 1000+ cargo capacity or very powerful weapons. I think it may throw off the balance of the game if a ship TOO powerful were made available too early, so I erred on the side of caution, as they say. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif I tried to make it so at least 1 or 2 things still needed upgrading to make the ship ideal.

But if I do another patch, i'll look very closely at it.
