ALLY/SHIP doesn't appear?
 
In what I've labelled the "Tan Ru Demolisher bug", since it only seems to happens to that ship, there's now only about a 50/50 chance of getting the Tan Ru Demolisher in Odd Adventures -- even after the ship text appears.

I'm unsure as to why this is.

To test things further, I put the ALLY/SHIP text right below the ACTN endquest, and made it SHIP, so I could use the always flag to test it (since the ALLY command doesn't work with the always flag).

Initial tests seemed more promising, but further testing has shown that the result is as flaky as ever.

Input appreciated; I can provide the latest version of the mod to anyone (sqqwonkian) who's willing to try to figure this out. It doesn't have many innovations over the Odd Adventures release that's already out, though, save Variations in Friendliness.

a few time in testing my mod i had to make a stripped down version with only the human race and a race with the ship i was adding (same thing w. quests - just the main quest and the one i was testing. i also loaded out the initial ship w. the hyperdrive and scanner so i could test things right away). it's a pain, and you have to troubleshoot everything that you did to strip it down, but it can be usefull if you're getting stuck.
