Tellermine and Sprengladung

Hi: I assume these are used in close assaults, i.e. when the infantry advance into a tanks hex?
Is it also true that all weapons are used in a closed assault. So if you had a Tellermine and Flammwerfer and grenades then all would be used in addition to rifles?
Thanks.

Re: Tellermine and Sprengladung

Close assault is done from the hex adjacent to the target, there is no need to enter the same hex.

The best weapon is determined and used, if there is a choice.

Would there be any advantage of going into the hex where the tank is, as in would the close assault be more powerful?

No. My understanding is that close assaults and the use of a tellermine or sprengladung (grenade bundle) are something of an abstraction, similar to the ability of engineers to clear mines from an adjacent hex.

No advantage in wasting the MP to go into the same hex.
-Disadvantage of moving firer - the more points expended in movement, the lower the chance of the assault.
-Disadvantage of expending MP so you now might no longer have enough remaining MP to actually assault.
-Disadvantage of extra move cost for unit(s) in tank hex. The tank in the travelled hex adds 1 MP cost (+more for any wrecks there may be there etc). See above bullets re MP expenditure.
-Disadvantage of moving in the same hex as the target tank, so if it has not spotted you by now, it (or friends) may well do so and fire reaction fire at you.

And yes - tank assault is an abstraction.

Re: Tellermine and Sprengladung

I was wondering if someone could help me. I know what a Tellermine was.

What is the difference between a Gebalt Ledung and a Sprengladung?

My impression was a Gebalt Ledung was a grenade cluster. A Sprengdalung seem to be modeled as a satchel charge.

The short answer is your assumptions are correct. Gebalt Ledung is a grenade cluster and Sprengladung is an explosive charge
