Sweden vs finland
 
Anyone want to try sweden vs finland in a custom map. Map is a strange one and not very realistic but supposedly quite tactical regarding gameplay.

Year: 2018
Battle points: 20 000
Artillery: 5%
Air sorties: 4
Visibility: 60
Tanks: at lest with 10 000
Cluster ammunition: restricted to one platoon.

At least one air sorties must not have weapons but at least two air sorties must have weapons and at least two air sorties must ne used. (Taking anti air against opponent with no air sorties is frustrating, so at least it must be stated is air sorties used or not.)

Rules are negotiable. I would prefer to play sweden.


Also, i would want to try an alternative method to count battle points in addition to a regular one.

Player with the most points from destroyed units gets points only from the point difference. For example, player 1 desrtoys 11000 point worth of units and player 2 for 8000 pts 3000 pts are counted for player 1.

Hexes produce 1:10 battlepoint worth of points. In this case 200 pts.

Each category of units (afv, infantry etc) where player has more kills than the opponent is counted for one victory hex for that player.

This method would be secondary and only for testing it out.

You know you can actually increase the points of VPs, right?

In my experience maximum was 245.

Would ne nice to have an option to get it up to 999. I will test has it changed.

Game offer is on atm, cant promise to respond for it later.

It has not, lets say we are playing a 30 000 pts game and one mbt is 4 to 500 of points. There really aint no point to capture any victory hexes compared to killing units worth twice the amount. 21 x 245 is something like 5000 pts.

This limit has clearly been made obsolate with the current pts costs for units in modern battles. Suppose its originally designed for ww2 type of games where army values are around 10 000 pts or less.

With 20 000 pts i would prefer them to be worth of 500 pts.

So why not use timed victory hexes if you want them to be a priority?
Meeting and advance get points set (3-30) awarded for controlling side from turn 3 or 25% battle length respectively .
Assaults different hard need to push as defender gets VH points awarded from halfway mark, X2 from 3/4 point.

6- 15 works well in most cases I only set higher if objectives are priority or want to force speed.
Lets assume meeting engagement 30 points set 23 turns.
Additional points up for grabs 30 x 20 turns x 21 VIctory hexes = 12,600
If all VIctory hexes set to max that’s 245 x 21 = 5,145
So total points up for grabs that game are nearly 18,000, that’s over 35 MBT’s at 500 points nearly as much as your 20,000 force.
