Runesword 2 is being illegally sold at itch.io

Hi. I just wanted to report that an outfit called Ellis Studios is illegally selling Runesword 2 for money under the name "runesword and magic" here: https://kieferd20.itch.io/runesword-and-magic So far at least 25 gamers have lost money on a game that is freely released over here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/runesword/ I used itch.io's report system on 6-23-18 but it's taking longer than one business day to be removed. I also sent a message to crosscut games via their broswer based messaging system here:
http://crosscutgames.com/wordpress/?page_id=46 but I haven't received word back that they've received the message. I don't know if itch.io needs more than one report for something to happen or more direct contact from the game creators themselves to get that page removed but the longer that page is up the larger the chance more people are going to lose money over a game that is already free. So even though it's no longer a Shrapnel Games game maybe they can aid in getting that page removed faster? I'm also posting this message at the sourceforge RS Open Forum as well.

Ok fellow shrapnelites the offending page has been removed though the Ellis Studios account is still active. I'll check itch.io from time to time to make sure the game isn't re-uploaded. Perhaps Crosscut Games can upload the latest version of the game to that site as a free game just so it can have an official home there?

Re: Runesword 2 is being illegally sold at itch.io

Hello again all but I'm here to report that the same itch.io user has reposted Runesword 2 as their own work called "Runesword and Magic" here: https://kieferd20.itch.io/runesword-and-magic and they're charging money for it again and that it's taken itch.io longer than 4 days for them to pull the page down even though I reported it again. So if the brass at Shrapnel Games can lean on these guys (again?) we can at least keep those jokers from profiting off a game that's been freely released already. They're not the only ones doing this since I previously came across what must be a illegitimate upgrade of Omnitrend's Rules of Engagement here: https://halkun.itch.io/rules-of-engagement and reported it but the page is still up and their account is still active. I guess Itch.Io's report hyperlink is just for show! But in any case thanks for hearing me out fellow shrapnelites!

Hi guys. I actually have an update on the Rules of Engagement remake and that program is actually legit and they'll be talking about it on Brian Rubin's Space Game Junkie podcast ( https://www.spacegamejunkie.com ) sometime during january 2020! I'll post further updates on the other program when I receive them.

Ok Runesword fans, it looks like Itch deleted the offending game page and the user's account as well but the thing with that website is that apparently they can just re-upload the same account and gamepage without changing anything so in case you see the runesword and magic url again, just report it again. I practically have a stock response email message for that bogus upload so if Itch.io wants their own website staff to keep reading what must look like spam over and over again then it's their problem!
