Win10 SPMBT

I just loaded SPMBT onto a new Toshiba Satellite laptop, Intel Pentium @ 1.60GHz w/8 Gb of ram, all with Windows 10.

Games I saved on my old machine with a Seagate 1tb external storage and transferred into the new machine will not run on the new machine. The loaded scenarios seem to work just fine, as does the map editor.

Creating my first battle, units towards the high-end of a 320-unit scenario lost their platoon HQs and seemed to be randomly numbered. I closed that scenario out and rebuilt the "Buy" for a meeting engagement, US v Soviet, 8-1967 12500 US, 14500 USSR.

Upon finishing that deployment and opening the scenario the Soviets got a very lengthy pre-move bombardment. After waiting it out I saved and went back into deploy. I too was offered a pre-move bombardment. I hadn't checked during my deploy as I was used to notgetting one.

I don't need a fix as much as I thought you might want to know.

Re: Win10 SPMBT

I loaded up a number of my saved games and all load and play and seem to have all their platoon HQ's. I then tried you set up for a meeting engagement, US v Soviet, 8-1967 12500 US, 14500 USSR....after depolyment everything checked out normal so IDK what to say other that ask others who switich to win10 to report any thing similar. I cannot explain why this might have happen except the catch all " corrupted files" as the one difference I cannot check is transferred save games from a Seagate 1tb external storage .It sounds like your save game files got scrambled in the transfer but I have no idea how or why

Re: Win10 SPMBT

Thanks. Win 10 beats 8.1 all around. I hated to lose XP. The game will work and I rather like earlier bombardments. So no loss for me. It's like my cars, when they develop an issue the first thing I do is drive them more, hoping they will heal themselves.
