Arty spotting bug?
 

I have my Forward Obs selected (unit W0 or so) in PBEM campaign, first battle (and I'm losing, bad). I press B
The screen says:
"Spotting unit is A0> Headquarters"

When I click cancel (or use the Esc key) it gets me back to my HQ unit. Luckily I noticed that before having the wrong unit spotting.

Quitting that game and reloading the saved game (from the very same point) fixed the issue. Lucky for me (and bad for you, because it can not be reproduced) - but has anyone else noticed this erratic behaviour?

Additional note: I tried this multiple times before trying to reload the battle from disk.

It happens occasionaly, I think only when you have your HQ selected & then select a FOO next with the mouse.
The solution is always check who is directing in the bombard screen or far easier always buy your FOOs as the first or last units & use the next, previous buttons as it never seems to happen using them.
Also has the advantage of letting you switch through them quickly if you have multiple FOOs to check LOS
