The Peoples Mod (Pre Mod discussion)
 
Right, Im starting a new mod... (Nice simple and straight to the point http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif )

Now, however, there is no real final goal, cos this mod is gonna be a work in progress forever type mod, to which is for the people by the people (or something to that effect)

I shall be looking into altering every aspect of the game that can be altered, so in months too come it will look like a completely different game

As this mod is being made, anyone can contribute to it, wheather it be by giving ideas or creating models, graphics, etc. (Credit will always be given where credit is due)

And because its not based on one specific thing, we can let out imaginations go wild within the boundaries of the game


Now, first things first, the one thing thats bothered me is the size of the planets... so wot I will be doing in this mod is making them bigger

ATM it will be one planet and its moons per map (subject to change)

Once enuf as been done for it too even be worth going into testing I will release the first alpha

Right, now, I have the good sized planets, now how do I make it so you cant go threw them?

You go to campaigndata and up the ramming damage.

If you still go through them you found a bug in SF's collision detection. Try making them the regular size and the ships smaller.

No, you go through them as in the game doesnt read its actually there, onlys happens if you up the size about 4times the orginal I believe

You can still hit a solid entity on certains area of the model and die, best for you to see is to d/l the latest Version of the peoples mod (link in other thread) and fly thro the Sol star, and try to fly thro Jupitar
