I'd suggest increasing the file size limits a little. How does this sound:

jpg, gif: 250 KB
other image formats: 500 KB
doc, txt, xls, pdf: 500 KB

Maybe even up to 2 MB for PDFs. If somebody...

I'm pretty sure they can. The ICO file format knows transparency, as do GIFs and PNGs, in case those are used (can be done via meta tags / CSS). Here's my 10 seconds worth of firing up the GIMP: 6665...

Upgrade do what? 2.0.0.16 is the current version from the 2.x branch. Maybe there's another workaround to make the browser vBulletin-friendly?
